Since 1997, Hardtuned has been committed to creating high-quality apparel and accessories for the automotive community. Every product is designed from scratch at our Gold Coast design studio, ensuring the perfect balance of fit, function, and style.

We have always been deeply involved in the car scene and continue to give back to the community that supports us with more than 60% of profits reinvested into motorsport, events, sponsorships, athletes, and car builds.

Quality and Sustainability
All Hardtuned garments are designed in Australia and go through a detailed development and testing process before release. We select premium fabrics and materials, prioritising renewable and sustainable sources where possible.

Our caps, shoes, and accessories are produced by luxury manufacturers trusted by some of the biggest names in apparel, but always using our own moulds, shapes, and patterns for that signature Hardtuned fit.

Stickers and banners are all hand-made to order at our Gold Coast facility.

History
Hardtuned began in 1997 when our founder, Loz, imported one of the first Nissan Silvia S13s into Australia and launched nissansilvia.com; a community hub for Japanese car enthusiasts.

As the JDM scene grew, the Hardtuned and NissanSilvia forums became Australia’s number one car community, with over two million daily hits and dozens of regional car clubs and events worldwide.

From grassroots motorsport to professional racing, Hardtuned has proudly supported countless drivers, clubs, and events from V8 Supercars and GT Series to D1GP Japan and Formula Drift. That same passion continues today through our apparel, sponsorships, and global automotive community.

The Mission Statement

Launched in November 2009, trippytaka is an Australian owned and operated clothing label with one goal; to provide Australian car enthusiasts with top-quality mens t-shirts featuring the coolest designs of their favourite cars.

The Story

For more than 20 years, we searched for top-quality men’s shirts with stylish designs featuring Holdens, Fords and Valiants. We’ve bought the odd one here and there, only to have the shirt shrink, fade, change shape or turn to cardboard after only a few washes. It’s always seemed that if you’re a car nut, clothing labels don’t want to know you. Not anymore.

Fed up with the lack of well designed, good quality car shirts, we decided to start trippytaka.

Here at trippytaka, we’re not trying to sell you an identity; you already live and breathe cars. We’re just trying to sell cool shirts to the people who relate to them most.

You’ll notice that our designs focus on the features that make each car unique. It’s our goal to showcase the beauty that lies in the small details; the lines of a ’60s designed grille, GTS flutes, or a GT ‘shaker’ scoop. True fans will recognise the origin of the designs instantly as Monaro, Falcon, Torana or Charger, but it’ll take most people a while to get it. And that’s the point.

We had a break for a little while, but now we’re back. Due to popular demand we’ve re-released the classic trippytaka range and have even started adding new designs into the mix.
